So this article was pretty interesting. The one about Neurotoxins (#4) was really interesting, especially if you follow the links about the man from Haiti. That's some creepy stuff right there.

Is it sad that I really hope some of this stuff happens one day? I mean, really. We need to shake shit up a little. Bring on the neurotoxins!

Yeah, interesting stuff there. When you and I were talking about the Toxoplasmosis stuff at Crypticon and you said that "they" estimate a good chunk of the world's population have it, I looked up some links online (and of course read what's been posted here) and I was shocked. I've heard of it before, of course, but you never hear anything about it in the media. You'd think *someone* would talk about it.

Oh yeah, definitely! It is very VERY strange... coincidence? Hmm. I duuuunnoooo...
In many ways, it's like the 'powers that be' are content with having a populace of ignorant, unquestioning, drooling, wide-eyed (consumers) masses, ready and willing to be manipulated.
Look at the education system, the big BOOM in the pharmaceutical business (I don't remember seeing that many drug commercials when I was growing up, youknowwhatImean?), the whole election process - Joe Average's not wanting to vote for somebody cause "they sounded too smart"? WTF?! So, in a few ways, it would make sense for it to be ignored, because it's convenient.

It's either that, or flat out denial. God wouldn't let some terrible virus like that be real, right? ;)
Cool to hear you've been reading up on all that madness. The scary part is - how do you figure out if you have it yourself or not? DAYUM!

It would make a lot of sense that they (I use that term much like anyone else, in reference to those who we don't now how to identify. haha) don't want us thinking about things like that. Why would they?
It may not have anything to do with the topic at hand, but I do think it's funny that we (as a whole) have started spiraling downhill as a people despite technological advances and huge scientific discoveries. How can some be so intelligent and able, while most of the population is completely STUPID? Amazing, isn't it? heh

And i'm completely content with the idea that I may have it. I'm not a lucky person, for one. If anyone is going to have something as insane as Toxoplasmosis....it's me!
Secondly, if you look at the symptoms most people will admitedly identify. As you said yourself, so many people are growing more and more violent. I can't think of a single person I know who can't identify with at least one of the major symptoms. haha

Yeah, it all seems to be either a grand machavelian, brilliantly orchestrated scheme - or just a big convenient coincidence...

But that raises the question - which is more likely?

Oh and your point about the downward spiral into civilized stupidity is completely valid to the topic. Most people will point out that zombie flicks generally have layers of meaning and metaphors, from social/ political/ cultural commentary to the conundrums that we 'humans' generally trap ourselves & eachother into due to our crazy antics, beliefs, & vices.

Hmmmm... I shall have to ponder this over some more - in the meantime, I have a few 'samples' I need to go dig up for the Doc.
